Meet the Team - Warmline Insulation Co.

Meet the Santa Clara Team Behind Warmline Insulation Co.

We’re not a franchise with rotating crews you’ll never see twice. The people who show up at your door in Santa Clara are the same folks who’ve been crawling through attics in Willow Glen, Rose Garden, and the West Side for years. They know which 1950s ranch homes pack R-19 batts that have slumped to nothing, and which 1970s two-story builds leak air around recessed cans like a sieve. What unites us is simple: we treat your house the way we’d treat our own, and we don’t leave until the job is actually done right. Neil Ashford built this team one hire at a time since 2011, and every single tech is background-checked, uniformed, and held to the same standard that put Warmline on the map: the 90-Day Done Right Promise.

Our People

Marcus Delgado, Lead Insulation Technician

Marcus has been with Warmline for nine years, starting as an apprentice and working his way up to lead tech by being the guy who volunteers for the nastiest crawl spaces nobody else wants. He holds a BPI Building Analyst certification and has installed nearly every product we carry, but his real specialty is blown-in insulation in older Santa Clara homes where joist spacing was never quite square and nothing measures the way the book says. He’s the one who taught half the crew the trick of using a mirror to verify coverage at the far eaves without climbing into the worst of it. Outside work, Marcus coaches his daughter’s soccer team and swears by Rockwool for soundproofing because his own garage is now a drum room.

Dana Whitfield, Senior Installer

Dana joined Warmline in 2015 after a decade in residential remodel, and she brings a finish carpenter’s eye to insulation work that most installers skip. She’s certified in spray foam application through the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance and handles the majority of our Icynene and Demilec installations across Santa Clara and Cupertino. Dana is the person you want on a wall insulation job where the existing drywall needs care, because she treats cutouts as patchwork that has to disappear, not just close. She also runs our crawl space encapsulation team, and she’ll tell you straight up that most moisture problems in this area show up first in homes within two miles of the Guadalupe River, where the water table stays high through fall. When she’s not under a floor joist, she’s restoring a 1968 F-100 pickup at a pace her husband generously calls “eventual.”

Priya Raman, Service Coordinator

Priya is the voice on the other end of (669) 337-7224 most days, and she’s been answering calls for Warmline since 2018. She schedules every job, keeps the crews moving, and has a mental map of Santa Clara neighborhoods that rivals anything a dispatch app can show, including which streets have parking limits that make a truck and trailer a headache. Before Warmline, Priya worked in hospital patient logistics, and it shows in how she handles emergency calls for insulation issues after attic fires or remodel tear-outs discovered mid-project. She’s the one who makes sure your permit questions get answered and your rebate paperwork for energy upgrades actually leaves our office complete. Priya bakes aggressively on weekends, and if you’re home when the crew finishes a job, don’t be surprised if brownies show up with the final invoice.

Tomás Rivera, Apprentice Installer

Tomás is our newest hire, brought on in 2024 after two years in general construction where he proved he could carry a bundle of R-38 batts up a pull-down ladder without slowing down. He’s training across all ten of our service categories, with a focus right now on attic air sealing and rodent proofing because he’s got the patience for finding every gap a rat can squeeze through and the stubbornness to close them all. Tomás grew up in Santa Clara and went to Santa Clara High, so he has an encyclopedic knowledge of the local housing stock and which neighborhoods were built during the fiberglass rush of the 1970s. On weekends you’ll find him fishing at Lexington Reservoir or helping his dad run a taco pop-up in Sunnyvale.

One Standard, Every Job

Here’s the thing about insulation: most of what matters, you can’t see from the living room. That’s why every Warmline tech, from Neil down to the newest apprentice, works under the same written standard. We use benchmark materials from Owens Corning, CertainTeed, Johns Manville, Knauf, and GreenFiber, but materials only do their job if the install is right. Our crews document coverage in real time, photograph the spaces you can’t access, and walk you through what they found before they call the job done. Most jobs are finished in a single visit, but we don’t rush a job to hit that mark. The 90-Day Done Right Promise is the backstop: if something isn’t right after we leave, we return and make it right, no invoice, no argument. That promise exists because Neil has crawled through enough attics where a previous contractor cut corners and the homeowner paid for it in heat loss and cold rooms. We built this team to be the opposite of that.
